Krabi
29th August - 1st September

Sorry for the super delayed post haha I had to compile the photos and then let you have more pictures to look at haha.

Warning: 55 pictures ahead.

I actually have like 120++ pictures but I sorta compiled a lot of them and also decided not to put this and that and this and that into the blog. d:

Day 1:

Arrived at LCCT and I think it's so different. Damn jakun cuz I've never been there and I got a bit lost about the system there. -_-

Being the natural kiasu person that I am, I dragged TheBoyfriend to queue up with me as soon as they said the flight to Krabi is ready for boarding. In the end it made no difference cuz we walked to the wrong plane -_- I was following the crowd and everyone was walking towards that wrong plane. -_-

Photobucket
And that, is my flight.

Photobucket

Although AirAsia is a budget company, I think the service is quite good but of course, the plane is small.

Photobucket

One thing I always love doing when I'm flying is looking at clouds and thinking that they are cotton candies. Le sigh. Now I'm craving for cotton candies hahahaha.

Fast forward 50 mins (I don't really remember) later, we arrived at Krabi's airport.

Photobucket
L-R: Siew Fung, Yat Hun, Chris

Chaw Yuen used his awesome camera, so my Canon can sau pei. (Meaning, get lost)

Photobucket
TheBoyfriend and I, duh.

Photobucket
Happy tourists arriving. I mean, just look at the smile on our faces! Mun Fai looks the happiest no doubt.

When you need to bargain, leave it to Lin Yik wtf.

Photobucket
Clockwise from top left: Lin Yik, a very happy Mun Fai, Chaw Yuen the photographer, and Mun Fai seems to like th AirAsia chicks.

We boarded this shuttle bus to our hotel.

Photobucket

I think Lin Yik managed to bargain with the owner for a cheaper price cuz there are like, 8 of us.

Photobucket

Our hotel is pretty neat. Very nice and cosy. The room is very, very spacious. They have a queen-sized bed and a single bed.

TheBoyfriend and I had a room to ourselves.

After checking in, we headed out to check out the street and get some food.

Photobucket

Photobucket

The beach in Krabi is seriously nothing. Like, worse than Port Dickson. Muddy sand on the beach and like, quite dirty too. -_-

I just recently (Since Redang) found out that I'm sort of allergic to seawater. I get blotchy and these red blotches will itch after I come into contact with seawater. Life sucks.

Photobucket
Clockwise from top left: Chris, Chaw Yuen, Lin Yik, Chris and Chaw Yuen.

Photobucket
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha omg this is my fattest ever picture. -_-

I think I'm like committing suicide online wtf post such a fat picture of me. I guess haha I did put on weight after Redang. I was so skinny during Redang. After working I put on a good couple of kgs to my boobs and my ass hahahahaha.

Actually quite memorable I've never had such a fat picture of me in bikini. Thanks to whoever who took that -_- Now I'm more determined to jog wtf.

Photobucket
HAH DID I SCARE YOU OR DID I SCARE YOU.

I saw that photo in my folder and I got shocked for a moment okay!

Photobucket
The guys were picking up mud throwing at each other -_-

Clockwise from top left:
Lin Yik committing suicide by walking towards the others.
War ensued.
Mun Fai continued slinging mud at Lin Yik.
Lin Yik getting his revenge.

Quite the funny actually.

Photobucket

We then went back to our nice hotel and wash up and rest for a bit before heading out for massage.

Photobucket
I like this picture a lot. Look to the left!!! Haha quite nice leh..

Photobucket

Thanks Jed for recommending this place! It's really good. I paid 300 baht for an hour of oil massage which was really, really nice and comfy. But then again I guess I'm not like the massage kind of person so I don't really find anything special. I just found it nice and comfy.

Photobucket
The tube dress that I got for RM19! And my bushy lion mane back then.

Now my hair is all straight. Succumbed to peer pressure from my mum. Don't ask.

Photobucket
We took the tut-tut to dinner at Wang Sai.

Photobucket

Thanks Jed again, for recommending this place!

Photobucket

This place is really awesome and the food isn't expensive. You would expect them to increase the price and slaughter you alive but no! It's pretty reasonable. I think we all spent about 300 baht (or lesser I don't remember again) per person that night.

We ordered crabs (two plates I think), tom yam, two plates of prawns, some funky chicken, veggie.

Photobucket
I like this picture a lot because of the lighting and we look like we have ideas then the light bulb came on. -_-

Photobucket
Group pic!

Photobucket
Clockwise from top left: Lin Yik, TheBoyfriend, Lin Yik shortening his life wtf and Lin Yik and his new found friend d:

Then I don't remember what we did that night. I think the guys played cards in the room and I went to bed a little earlier than the rest cuz I was so dead tired.

Day 2:

No pictures during the day cuz we went island hopping. It was good fun but I got so much darker because of that.

Photobucket
Taken before dinner.

Photobucket
I went and got this henna tattoo for fun. I don't know why the guy did it just nicely on the mosquito bite that I got.

Photobucket

We had dinner at this hawker centre nearby. I'd say the food is just average. Nothing to scream about.

After dinner we decided to head to Krabi town to like, look see look see.

Photobucket
The van, or whatever.

Photobucket

Probably after about 5 minutes, the van came to this ghetto gas station to fill us gasoline. Omg when we saw it, we just burst out laughing and started snapping pictures. If you look carefully at the picture above, clockwise from top left, you'll see that the gasoline is decreasing.

When she finish pumping the gasoline, she'll have this lever for her to manually pump the gasoline back into that cylinder container.

Photobucket
(:

Photobucket

We discovered that they have this blue light in the van so we camwhored with the blue light on haha quite funky, no?

We were pretty disappointed when we arrived at Krabi town cuz it was so dead that night! There was practically nothing. So we headed back to Ao Nang where we stayed and split up cuz Lin Yik, Chaw Yuen, Mun Fai and Chris wanted to go drink beer.

I just wanted to go back and sleep -_- Yes, I was that exhausted. TheBoyfriend came back with me and we watched tv wtf.

Day 3:

Today was the day that we were supposed to leave. We packed our bags, got a van to drive us to the airport.

Photobucket
Us, minus Mun Fai.

We already knew that we might not able to go back to KL that time cuz Thailand was having this riot thing and airports were closed.

The airport reopened on Sunday but they cancelled the AirAsia flight. So everyone but TheBoyfriend and I managed to book the next flight home on Monday. Dulan like fuck I swear. Then we opt to be put into the waiting list.

So back we go to Ao Nang and stayed in the same hotel and Lin Yik, TheBargainKing managed to get us cheaper rates at the hotel -_- This is seriously my first time hearing that you can bargain your room rate. I told my dad and he was quite shocked too haha.

So anyway we got back and settled our things and headed out to the street again. I had to recycle my baju damn gross but it's okay cuz I just wore the tube top for maybe 5 hours tops and it was clean and dry after wearing it for the first time!

Photobucket
This dog is damn big I swear.

Chaw Yuen said, "What dog is this! Ang moh dog is it. So damn big!"

I don't think it's very obvious but you can sort of tell the dog is bigger than me. But the dog is really gentle though. It doesn't give two hoots about people walking by and it just lay there quietly when I took the photo.

We decided to rent motorbikes that day and cruise along the street. We got the bikes for 150 baht each, without gas.

Photobucket

This was the scariest ride I've ever had on a motorbike omg. TheBoyfriend had no experience on a bike at all and he had to take me with him.

Seriously, terror ride.

Photobucket

Photobucket

We found a gas station and probably paid about 80 baht for 3 liters I don't remember. -_-

Photobucket

This gas station a lot better than the one we saw on the second night haha. But they still have the lever to pump the gas back into the cylinder.

Photobucket
Not so scared anymore I think.

We just rode along and then found some neat places to eat at.

Photobucket
The guys, minus Yat Hun cuz he went off somewhere else on his own. Is it me that this picture looks like a do re mi picture? Short to tall starting from left -_-

Photobucket

This place is really pretty neat and I love the coconuts there they are so sweet!

Photobucket

Photobucket
Group picture!

Photobucket

It's damn gross riding on a motorbike my face is covered with dust after that. And I can actually feel like, sand on my face when I touch my face.

Since we have bikes, we decided to ride along to find dinner.

Photobucket
This picture, is a must haha. Cuz Ronald McDonald is sporting a different pose haha. I didn't get to try the pork burger though.

We saw this stall selling pancakes.

Photobucket

Quite yummy honestly. They have like egg pancake which is nicer than our roti telur, I don't know why.

Photobucket
The barbeque er, stall.

It's quite a different experience cuz I don't stand and eat like that wtf. Quite funky, you get to pick what you want and barbeque it on the spot.

Photobucket

Photobucket
I saw this cat laying down like that for quite some time. It seriously didn't move a muscle until minutes later. -_-

I thought it was dead wtf and then I saw the stomach moving cuz it's breathing hahahaha.

We got up early the next day to go to the airport and also because TheBoyfriend and I want to be first on the waiting list for the flight home.

Photobucket
During breakfast. You can see my tanline on the top picture!

Photobucket
At the airport. I like how my body looks here.

So we put ourselves into the waiting list and all and waited and came up with plans if we didn't manage to get onto the flight home.

It was quite stressful. We were low on cash and fuck it okay we didn't activate our international service thing for our ATM cards. Those who were going home pooled money and all.

Photobucket

In the end, we managed to get two seats! What a relief.

We can only know if we get the seats 45 minutes before take off. So guess how I felt at that time. Even worse than taking an exam. -_-

But thank goodness we managed to get ourselves places that day, otherwise it will be another day in Thailand. But then again, TheBoyfriend and I actually planned to go to Koh Phi Phi if we ever get stranded for another day XD

Photobucket

While we were in Koh Phi Phi during the island hopping trip, the guys got themselves statement tee-shirts.

Chaw Yuen is damn in love with his, he started doing all those stupid things. Like, taking pictures with unsuspecting victims. -_-

Okay the stewardess one is quite funny. Haha. It's like, he cannot find anyone else to victimize then he stood next to a bunting!

Photobucket

We ordered some rice thing on the plane and it wasn't too bad! (:

Photobucket
Hello KL I'm back!

They were discussing where to go next year omg I can't wait. (:

Electives

Now it's 3rd year, we get to choose one optional subject and we're given three choices:

Advanced Ordinary Differential Equation;
Mathematics for Engineering Management; and
Process Simulation

Process Simulation is a no-no for me cuz I hate that stupid programme we're dealing with: Hysys.

Then my choice was between Advanced ODE and Math for Eng Mgmt.

Just went for Math for Eng Mgmt just now and I really hate it so I'm gonna take Advanced ODE which is actually a killer subject cuz apparently half of those who took it, failed it.

Everyone was like telling me, "Are you sure you want to take that? I heard a lot of people fail."

Do you think I really give a flying fuck if A LOT of people fail? Like, seriously do you think I care? Come on, let's be a little more realistic. How others perform does NOT reflect on your capabilities.

(I know I sound proud but whatever ok)

Then everyone doesn't want to take that subject purely because a lot of seniors failed that one. -_-

"Aiya don't want la. A lot of people fail."
"Damn hard to do well one."
"Even lecturers don't encourage."

Hello????? If it's so tough (as if people will get killed) then why do they even have such module in the first place? They should just remove it, no?

What I really dislike is having to base my decision based on others' experience. Seriously, if you ask me to like sit and wait and see how the others do and then only decide, I fucking swear I will go crazy ok.

It's MY life! Why must I do things based on your point of view or experience.

Well, if I fail (touchwood and I will make sure that never happens) then I'll take it as a lesson. It's just a failure. I think people now are very afraid of failures. Like, so afraid of it as if it's The Grim Reaper coming for your life. Come on la, a fucking failure will not make you a failure.

Yes no doubt results are damn important. But it's only important when you just graduated and it's something that you use to start your career; to put you somewhere; to let you be ahead of the pack ONLY WHEN YOU GRADUATE.

20 years down the road, who cares about that cert anymore?

Whoa fuck why am I getting so emo about this.

If you don't fail, how are you ever gonna learn? There will be no mistakes for you to learn.
(So maybe Math for Eng Mgmt will be good since it's new haha then a lot of mistakes can be learned wtf.)

Honestly I don't really care about past year papers. That Math for Eng Mgmt, I saw the problem sheet and damn I cannot see myself doing that for the rest of the semester and having to slap my own forehead each time I have to attend that class har-dee-har-har.

If I'm gonna suffer in Advanced ODE then let it be I'm gonna suffer a happy person wtf since I like calculus so much I should just marry calculus.

Why am I so funny. -_-

EACH FAILURE IS A STEPPING STONE TO SUCCESS

So if I fail also haha I will say that wtf to make myself feel better hahahahaha.

Okay people. So if any of you happen to read this, please don't come to me and tell me that ODE is literally committing suicide cuz if I got up on the wrong side of my cosy bed that day, I'm gonna go godzilla on you.

And to those who are taking ODE let's suffer happily together wtf.

Aiya whatever you choose as your elective, just make sure you're happy with it. (: And all the best for your first semester of whatever year you're in. (:

ROAR it's Tuesday and I can't wait for my one week break wtf. Quite stupid, I just started uni yesterday and next Monday we'll have a week break for the Raya holidays. -_-

Biffness

Weekend was spent in Singapore. (Sorry, Krabi photos will only come up when TheBoyfriend takes my pendrive from CY)

This weekend was really awesome. Thank you so much biffy.

No photos from my camera -- Everything was taken by the photographers in The Arena on Friday night.

Clubbing during this trip is so special -- We dressed so casually and wore flip flops haha.

Friday night - Suddenly our table became the popular table. -_-

That's Friday for you. The rest? No photos haha.

All in all, one of the very best weekends I've ever had. A very interesting one too.

Casual. Flip flops. Gym. Chinatown. Max Brenners. Steamboat with TanFamily. Movie. Dim sum yummy. Shopping (Just a bit I swear!). Hip hop dance performance. Casual clubbing. Table tops. Angmohs kissing YOUR feet haha.

So exhausted after the trip but it was all worth it. (:

Love you biffy.

Interesting

This is quite juicy wtf. So I found out that people in university have been talking about me.
(Thanks for that extra few minutes of fame people)

Sorry I like talking like that hahahaha.

Quote:
actually those tht i heard from were the ones tht actually knew you in person kinda thing?
i didnt hear the stories from ppl who didnt know u
so yeah this is wht i was told
hm that you're attention seeking
that you're cocky and full of yourself?
and tht you go around disrupting other ppl's relationships

Honestly people, thank you for taking the time to spread things about me, giving me that extra 2 minutes of fame. ((((((: Just what I needed -- Confidence boost wtf cuz I'm famous wtf.

I do not have to explain myself but I think I will cuz I just think this is plain ridiculous and also just because this is my blog I want to make a note to myself wtf and when I read back, I can laugh! (:

Attention seeking -- Which girl isn't? Tell me. Every single girl is attention seeking. It is only the matter of whether is she capable of doing so. And apparently I managed to! Cuz people noticed me wtf. I don't get how do I come across as attention seeking. If I have the natural ability to make people notice me wtf wtf then it's not my fault ok hahahahaha.

Cocky -- So I've been told haha and this is a trait I've accepted. I'm egoistic. I know I'm cocky too! Hahaha but only towards people I don't like lol. I've been told I'm 'chuen' (Cantonese for cocky) since highschool okay haha I'm so numb to this.

Full of myself -- Sorry la if I have the confidence and you don't. That's all I can say.

Disrupting other people's relationships -- This, I seriously have to meet the person who say that and laugh in his/her face. Hahahahahaha seriously whoever said it just own up to it ok I won't bite you I will just laugh at you. WHOSE RELATIONSHIP DID I DISRUPT! Omg shit this is so funny. Too bad TheBoyfriend's sleeping now. Otherwise both of us will be laughing like hyenas wtf. This is damn good ok.

I'm not mad at anyone for talking like that about me. I might have portrayed myself wrongly but it doesn't matter cuz you didn't take the initiative to really get to know the real me, so it's your loss. (:

Anyhoo. Thank you to all gossip mongers who actually bothered to spend time talking about me, giving me that extra minutes (Or hours, I hope?) of fame and limelight. And I hope I'll be as famous as ever in the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus well, because I quote "You're quite something in Chemical Engineering". Thank you thank you!

(Please add more wtf cuz I'm attention seeking. So the more you talk about me, the more attention I'm getting wtf.)

Conversation Between Us

At 11.17 pm:

"(Enthusiastically) Do you want roti telur?"
"No."
"Do you want roti canai?"
"No."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. Why you keep asking me if I want to eat??"
"Cuz normally you're always hungry around this time."

I'm An Immigrant. Are You?

If Malaysian Chinese are immigrants, then why are Malaysian Chinese people selected for national service?

If Malaysian Chinese are immigrants, then why some even serve the army or police to protect Malaysian grounds?

Do note that I used MALAYSIAN CHINESE. I know it isn't fair to like, pinpoint everyone for a remark made by just one person. But I'd like to make a point here.

The Malaysian Chinese are born and bred here. Breathed Malaysian air. Ate Malaysian food. Spent 11-12 years schooling here. What makes us anymore different than the Malays and to the extent that we are called immigrants?

What does it take to be a Malaysian? You have to be Malay in order to be MALAYsians?

My friends from Canada asked if I'm Chinese, I said, "I'm Malaysian Chinese."

I'm proud to be Malaysian. I love this country. Spending time abroad made me love this country despite the dramas and the dirty politics. I loathed how the non-Malays are treated as second class citizens.

Are we not Malaysian enough? We did the same things as our Malay peers so what is so different about us? It is only that our skin colour is different and that our forefathers are not from Tanah Melayu. But for the next generations, they are born and brought up here.

Sometimes I think the politicians are the ones who are really racist and their remarks further fuel such sentiments among the Malays.

Happy 51st Independence Day Malaysia (31st August 1957). You indeed have come a long way to where you are now.

Back, Safe and Sound

Hello people I'm back from Krabi in one whole piece. TheBoyfriend took good care of me and made sure I was sent home safely har har.

I'm sure all of you know what happened in Thailand. I had to extend my stay for an extra night as the flight back to KL on Sunday was cancelled. There were 8 of us in this trip. There were 7 available seats on the flight back to KL on Monday. TheBoyfriend and I were last in line so we booked the Tuesday flight.

We were advised to go to the airport on Monday to put ourself in the waiting list and we did that. Thank goodness there were extra seats and we got back together with the others.

The trip was good fun minus the airport glitch. (: Next destination in Thailand is definitely Phi Phi.

Not many pictures cuz no one brought any cameras when we went island hopping on the second day. ): The beaches and the fish were really beautiful. Sighs. It is really such a waste that no one brought the camera that day. Roar!

Anyway will blog about this soon! Will need to get pictures from Chaw Yuen.

This will be the last week I'm working, then next week I'll be heading down to Singapore! Anyone wants to take a bus with me? (:
